Dispatch Tasks

Dispatching is performed by Dispatchers to indicate that inspectors are to begin the job. The following diagram shows where tasks related to Dispatch and Field Inspection fit in the overall system:

In order to dispatch a Job Order, the following conditions must be met:

The current user must be a Dispatcher.

The Job Order type must be of a job type that requires dispatching (see Job Order Types for those requiring dispatching).

 One or more inspectors must be assigned to the Job Order and marked as Confirmed.

When these conditions have been met the Job Order can be dispatched using one of the methods described in Completing a Dispatch.
