Generating and Printing Sample Tags

Modified on Fri, 1 Mar at 10:31 AM

Sample Tag is a label containing sample information which can be printed and affixed to a sample. Clicking Generate Sample Tag generates a printer friendly PDF file containing the tags.

This is used for the Inspector out in the field. When they need to pull a sample, they can have stickers attached to the bottle tags that display most of the sample information. These tags help reduce the amount of information that needs to be handwritten. The sample type must be circled. Information may also be added by hand out in the field (e.g. product and grade) and can be changed on the tag by crossing out the printed value and writing the new value by hand. Coordinators are then responsible for ensuring that the changes are reflected in the Job Order entry fields.

Note: if the sample is pulled from a non vessel, the Tank # must be filled in with the ID of the shore tank, tank truck, or rail car. If the sample is pulled from a vessel, this field must be filled in with the vessel’s tank number (e.g. 1P or 1S).
