Retain Management

Lab Managers have access to an additional Job Order menu called Retain Management which allows them to change the retain status for multiple samples:

To use this feature:

1. Obtain the sample number(s) for the sample(s) to update. 

2. Click Retain Management.

3. Enter a sample number and click Add. Repeat this for additional samples. A sample can be removed by selecting the red "-" beside it.

4. Select the retain status to assign from the Retain Status for Samples drop down. Note that additional input fields may appear when a selection is made. In the screenshot above for example, Disposal has been selected which displays the Disposal Date, Manifest, and Drum No. fields.

5. Populate any additional fields that appear when the Retain Status for Samples selection is made.

6. Click Submit.

The updated retain status can be seen in the Retain column when viewing samples:
