Creating a Job Order
To create a new Job Order, navigate to the Job Order search and listing screen and click on the Create button at the top of the Job Order screen:
This displays the Job Order entry screen (aka Edit Mode) where Job Order information can be entered.
Modifying a Job Order
To modify an existing Job Order, select Modify from the Actions menu or locate the Job Order in the Job Order search and listing screen, click the down icon, and select Modify:
This displays the Job Order entry screen where the existing Job Order information can be modified.
Using an Existing Job Order as a Starting Point (copying a Job Order)
The recommended approach for creating a Job Order is to use an existing one as a starting point. This is useful since in many cases a new Job Order will share many of the same values as an existing order. Therefore it is usually quicker to use an existing Job Order as a starting point for modification.
To create a copy of an existing Job Order, click Copy in the drop down list beside the existing Job Order on the Job Order search and listing screen:
This displays the Job Order entry screen containing a new Job Order in Draft state, pre-populated with some of the values from the existing Job Order with notable exceptions being the Job Order's ETA and Client Reference Number(s).
