Locations refer to the port or inland facilities where the inspections of a Job Order are to take place and are selected when entering Basic Information into a Job Order.

The Locations search and listing screen allows for their creation and maintenance:

The Locations screen provides the following details:

Type: specifies if the location is a Port or Inland facility.

Facility/Terminal Name: the name assigned to the facility. Note that terminals are listed below the name and include the terminal icon: .

Code: a code such as an ID assigned to the facility.

Country: the country where the facility is located.

Status: active indicates the facility can be selected in a Job Order.

Modified: the date when the facility record was created or last updated.

Creating Locations

When viewing a Location, selecting Create under the Actions displays the following screen for creating locations:

The location creation screen allows the following information to be entered:

  1. Name, Code, Country: the location, any unique code or ID, and country where the location is within.

  2. Type, Geo Region: the location type (port or inland facility) and the general region.

  3. Location: the latitude and longitude where the location can be found.

  4. Status: indicates if the entity is active (selectable for job orders), or inactive.

  5. Restrictions: optional restrictions that should be noted about the location.

  6. Comments: optional, additional comments of interest about the location.

  7. Address and Contact Information: the address methods of contact and for the location. Additional items for each can be added by clicking the "+" icon.

Exporting Data

Location information can be exported/imported to .csv (comma separated values) files, which allows the data to be viewed and edited using spreadsheet software, or saved for offline viewing or backups.

To export this data, navigate to the Actions menu on the Locations screen and select one of the following submenus:

Download Ports: exports port data to a .csv file.

Download Port Terminals: exports terminal data to a .csv file.

Download Port Tanks: exports port tank data to a .csv file.

Download Inland Facilities: exports inland facility data to a .csv file.

Download Inland Terminals: exports inland terminal data to a .csv file.

Download Inland Tanks: exports inland tank data to a .csv file.
